A message to Jürgen Klopp, YNWA

Dear Jürgen,

We are deeply saddened by the news of your mother's passing.

We want to send you and your family our sincerest condolences. Due to the pandemic the fans cannot be in the stadium, but we wanted to send a message to you in the way most of us communicate these days.  Therefore, we set up this space to allow anyone a platform to send you a message should they wish. You’ll Never Walk Alone. Not now, not ever.

There are no words that could describe how grateful we are to have you as our manager. You have given us so much joy and so many unforgettable moments. You mean a lot to us and we wanted to show you the love for the person who meant a lot to you. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

May your mother rest in love.

Yours truly,

Maxi, Moby, Mehul, Peter and every Liverpool fan around the world

Dear Jürgen

I would like to offer you my deepest condolences and best wishes in this dark time for you and your loved ones.

I’m sure your Mother would’ve been so proud of what you’ve achieved - in football, and in life in general. Your successes are a reflection on her, and you continue to bring so much joy to Red fans like me and countless others and I’m sure that was multiplied in her.

This small message will not change the pain, but I hope in the future, at the end of the storm, you can raise a glass surrounded by family and remember your Mother in a deserving fashion.

You’ll Never Walk Alone, Boss

Jurgen,

As you well know, sports are where we go to escape our problems for a bit and take a break from the hardships that life brings us. However, moments like the one you are going through now take the highest of priorities. As Liverpool FC supporters, we see you on television week in and week out fighting for our club and our amazing fans. We see your smile, energy, frustration, fight, desire and most of all your love of the beautiful game. Those are givens and we expect that from you. But then there are moments like this where we don’t always see it coming and we don’t always know what to do. This is not a centerback being hurt for a long period of time, it’s a loved one moving on to the next chapter and we can’t be there with them.

I can’t imagine your pain, but I can imagine this: if she was anything like you she must’ve been an amazing person, mother and friend to you and many. And you have passed that on to your own family and to your Liverpool FC family all around the world.

You made us believers in the face of doubt. Lovers in the face of fight. And admirers of a team of not only amazing footballers but more importantly amazing people. It’s time like these in the face of adversity that we remember why our family, our Liverpool FC family is so great. We are there for each other. You are there to fight for us every week and even though I’ve never been to Liverpool or Anfield I like so many others around the world that get our couch to stand by you on a matchday are here to stand by you in your time of need. It’s the least we can do. Yes, you’ve won us the league, the Champions League and much more, but we are here for you because you continue to show us how to be better people. That’s something special and the mark of true friend.

Lastly, I would like to send you and your entire family my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. And remember you, your mother, the entire Klopp family and everyone who loves this club and reads these and the many other messages included in it will never walk alone.

Sincerely,

Sean

First of all, my sincere condolences to you and your family. I wish you and your family all the best in this difficult time.
All the love from myself back in Denmark and from the Liverpool family all over the world to you and your family.

Secondly, I'd like to take this chance to thank you for everything you've done for our club. Things I actually didn't think was possible.

When you first arrived, you made me dream. After your first interview, you made me believe. Now, years later, you've shown me that if you can dream it, you can do it.

Thank you, Boss - You'll never walk alone.

Best regards,

I am so sorry to hear of your dear mother's passing and not being able to go to her funeral to say your final goodbyes. It's absolutely heartbreaking and beyond comprehension! It doesn't seem fair! And trying to manage the best team in the world #lfc through a particularly trying period of bad form and injuries. I don't know how you've been coping. I lost my own mum to cancer 2 years ago, was angry and snappy with everyone and I'm still grieving now and miss her terribly as she was one of my best friends and biggest supporters as it seems your mum: Elizabeth, was to you. Just wanted to let you know that we're all thinking of you, the whole #Liverpool family and are with you 100% through this very difficult time for you! You'll never ever walk alone as you've brought us so many wonderful memories and restored our pride and belief in ourselves as Champions of Europe; the World and now of England. Mind yourself Jurgen and be kind to yourself too.

You are not just a Football coach, Jurgen. You're much much more than that, it's crazy to think of the lives that you've impacted from miles away by teaching our team how to kick ball. You inspire us EVERY DAY, and I'm sure that you must have found a rationale to deal with this grief as well. But I just want you to know, that you'll really, meaning every word, never walk alone. All my love and power.

Godspeed,
Ishan

Deepest condolences Jurgen,
Our family lost someone extremely loved by us all in this time and it is so difficult not being able to grieve properly. My hear felt sympathies for your loss. I believe your Mother would of been so very proud at your achievements and the adulation Liverpool supporters hold for you. I know you stated you are the normal one and the humility you show, wouldn’t let you believe any other way, but you are extremely special to us all.
I cannot put into words the joy you have provided me over the last three years with this amazing team, so pleased that your Mother saw this first hand.
I hope that all the words expressed by the footballing family and your own supporters have provided crumbs of support at this difficult time.
Love to you and your family YNWA

Dear Jurgen,

As a Liverpool fan who is 15 years old, I am distressed to hear that you have lost your mother. My father lost his mother when he was 26 years old due to a pneumonia disease and he can sympathise with how hard it is to cope with such a loss. As a Muslim, it is common knowledge that Heaven lies at the feet of the mother, and you must know yourself as a devout Christian that she will be receiving numerous blessings because of how much she cared for you. It also says in the Quran that "in the happiness of parents lies the happiness of God and in their dissatisfaction is God's dissatisfaction."
Jurgen, you have made me wear the badge with pride, you have made my grandfather see us finally win a title before his death, you have made my father and me the happiest humans in the world because of how much effort you put in, and I wouldn't trade you for any manager in the world. Jurgen, please stay, I will always have faith in you, and I hope that your family can cope with the loss.
Thankyou, from Syed Abbas Raza

Jürgen,

Thank you for everything you have done for the club and for football. I cannot imagine what you are going through right now, but just know you have made both of your parents extremely proud. You are their mentality giant! For some time your father has watched over you as you have etched your name into footballing history and now your mother will join him in watching over you.

I have no doubt you have been nothing but a source of pride and joy to your mother and this energy will stay forever. I hope you are able to grieve in what way you can considering the circumstances, just know every football fan across the world will have nothing but love in their hearts for you at this difficult time. With luck your newest family (LFC supporters) will be able to show you their love and sympathies soon.

Mind yourself Jürgen, we love you.

I cannot logically explain why I am so affected by the loss of someone thousands of miles away who I have never met and probably will never meet.

I suppose that is what the unexplainable bond between football, players, managers and supporters really means. It cannot be put into words, measured in a graph or drawn on a diagram. But it is felt in the heart and as real as a the sun and moon.
