A message to Jürgen Klopp, YNWA

Dear Jürgen,

We are deeply saddened by the news of your mother's passing.

We want to send you and your family our sincerest condolences. Due to the pandemic the fans cannot be in the stadium, but we wanted to send a message to you in the way most of us communicate these days.  Therefore, we set up this space to allow anyone a platform to send you a message should they wish. You’ll Never Walk Alone. Not now, not ever.

There are no words that could describe how grateful we are to have you as our manager. You have given us so much joy and so many unforgettable moments. You mean a lot to us and we wanted to show you the love for the person who meant a lot to you. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

May your mother rest in love.

Yours truly,

Boss, unsurprisingly, you’ve been the consummate professional in the eye of personal tragedy.
Your mother must have been one special lady having brought you up to have the morals that you show to us all week in and week out. I thoroughly believe those life perspectives can only be instilled by parents from an early age and continue to grow out in the same direction through maturity and experience. As fans, we all have your parents to thank for that, so we are deeply saddened and affected by your news but stand strong with you in belief that togetherness gets us all through tough times.
You have once again shown how unimaginably awesome you are in the way you handle matters, both for yourself and for this club of ours.
We’re with you all the way. YNWA. X

So sorry for your loss, my wife lost her farther just before Christmas, as he lived in Spain she was unable to attend his funeral, the loss of a lived one at anytime is hard but even worse in these strange times

You have offered people such comfort and sound advice in what has been going on and I hope you know by all the message of support how much you are loved not only by your Liverpool family but also everyone else who respects and admires you

Stay strong Jurgen YNWA (ever)

Dear Jurgen,

I cannot thank you enough for giving me light in some of the darkest times I have ever experienced. You may not have known it, but you and the boys were there for me when no-one else was. You made all of our dreams come true in ways that we couldn't possibly have imagined.

You are a true hero - and I'm sure you absolutely disagree, because that's the kind of person you seem to be and, after all, what's football in the grand scheme of things? But, to me, and I'm sure to many many more people around the world, your Liverpool team has been EVERYTHING.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are not alone. You will never walk alone.

Dear Jurgen,

I was sad to read about your mother's passing but at the same time pleased to read that you are a devout Christian. I am a pastor or what you would call a Christian minister in Europe and a passionate supporter Liverpool FC for more than 50 years. I do not have a collection of Liverpool scarfs, souvenirs, etc to vouch for my support of the club. However, that is not the reason for writing.

I just wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. Continue to be strong and may the Lord comfort you and your family at this sad and difficult time. God bless you and your family. Take care and stay safe.

Sorry for your loss Jurgen. I have also lost people that are close too me. It hurts like hell. But you will get through this. You should know, and I know you know this but I’m gonna say this anyway, that all the supporters are behind you. We’re sending all of our prayers too you and your mom.
As soon as Covid are gone, I hope that I can travel too Anfield, to support you and the team.
You and the boys have given me so much over the years.

We love you
You’ll never walk alone

Hi Jurgen,
The grief that comes with losing a parent is something I can't imagine, but one I have seen close at hand. My mother lost her father much before his time and often talks about how much she misses him even now.

While I'm not Christian myself, I know you draw a great deal of strength from your faith. I pray that God gives you and your family the strength to overcome this difficult period in your lives. You have been a beacon of hope and positivity in many of our lives and now it's our turn to do the same for you.

We're all behind you... Every step of the way. You'll never walk alone

Take care

Jürgen,

Parents are the most important guides in our lives...our heroes. Yet, paradise is at the feet of our mothers.

I lost my dad at 20 and he never got to see the man I've become. My mother, my best friend sees that and prayerful as she is always looks to the best of me. I almost lost her in these times so I cannot imagine what you are going through...

Your loss resonates with me not only because you're one of us, but emotionally your connection with you Mum reminds me of mine. No one and nothing can ever replace her but I hope as we stand with you, you can lean on us for support and comfort. It's an unfortunate inevitability of life that we have to pass on but it never makes it easy.

Should you need the shoulder or cuddle of a mother, I'm more than happy for my Mum to do this but I am certain you have close family and friends with you.

Be strong, be firm, be faithful.
May her passing and the pain you feel ease and may the burden lighten as the days go by.

This is also a reminder for the rest of us to cherish those that are still with us.

We are here for you Jürgen...always.

Deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. I know the void left behind after losing a parent after losing my father at age 9 during which I was witness to him being shot and killed. The loss is indescribable to put into words. As a life long Red, my dad took me to the matches at Anfield and I will never forget it. I know your mother will have left small things and great things in your memory to remember her by, what a great job she did in making you the man you are today!

Dear Jürgen,

I'm Dea, Liverpool fan from Indonesia. I've been a fan since I was a little. I've been loving football since I was 8 years old, and Germany national team was my first team that I supported in world cup 2002, and then I fell in love with Liverpool in 2007. It was during the final UCL VS Ac Milan, and unfortunately, we lost. But strangely, it made me love this club more than anything. And ever since then,I couldn't stop loving this club even though we weren't the best anymore and we've been the laughing stocks for rival fans, not until you came. I have huge expectations for you and you never failed me... you made me believe that everything is possible. Steven Gerrard was the reason I became a fan, but you are the reason I will never leave this club and I will never stop loving this club.

Jürgen, during this difficult time, please be known that I will always stay beside you and support you forever... please stay strong!!

Love,

Dear Jurgen,

I would like to send you and your family my deepest condolences. Losing a parent is one of the toughest moments someone can experience. I admire your strength to carry out your duties during this difficult time but I do hope you have found the time to properly grieve. My favorite quote by Rabindranath Tagore has always been words of comfort for myself when experiencing death of a loved one, and I hope it comforts you as well:

'Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.’

Sending you all my love and support in this difficult time.

Love,

Jürgen - our man. I feel your pain so much, and not being able to attend the funeral is heartbreaking. However, my own family had a similar issue when I lost my husband at the other side of the world during winter, and the children couldn't get there. We held a most beautiful memorial service 4 months later, with a lot of colour, flowers, music and memories. We all had time to make it a perfect fit for him, it was a lovely sunny day, plenty of tears - and laughter. When you are ready, put your energy into doing this, it really does help ease the pain.

We all love you, and care about you - that will never change.

Dear Jürgen,

I'm extremely sorry to hear what happened to your family! I offer my deepest condolences to you. Last year, we said goodbye to my grandfather. It was really hard for my mother, and I just thought, "One day, it's going to be really hard for my sister and me, to go thorugh this when our Mom will be gone". I just hope that I will have a good support system around me, because I will definitely need help. I hope you have one good too!
It's okay to be sad, it's okay to feel down. You don't have to be ashamed of it, even though you are a leader, and leaders, even if they are as emotionally intelligent as you are, tend to succumb to outside pressure, and try to brush their feelings under the carpet. Don't! I learned that too, when I was 23-25 (now I'm 27). You don't have to explain yourself to us.

Someone, who lives in Hungary, who went to Anfield twice, can only say this about you: You are the greatest thing that has happened to our club for decades, certainly in my lifetime! The things that you preach are useful in every part of our lives, and often times I try to remind myself, what would Jürgen say in this moment to me?

We will always stand behind you! If we could attend our next home match, we would give you so much love and support. Because we can't, I will sing Jamie Webster's song about you even louder in front of the TV against Leicester, and hopefully I can somehow see your bus in Hungary before the game against Leipzig.

We will come out of this current situation, and we are going to give you so much joy, support, and love in the stadium, that you will maybe feel, that you don't even deserve it.

But you absolutely do!

I wish you and your family the very best!

YNWA

Cheers

Liverpool is a family, and when one of us is suffering, we all suffer. We all share your grief and wish you all the strength in the world. Losing a parent at any age is the most heartbreaking thing. I lost my dad when I was 23, he was a mad Liverpool fan and even though I am Yorkshire through and through there was never any doubt I would grow up supporting Liverpool (my dad was born in Warrington so not a glory supporter). There will never be any words that can ease the pain or fill the massive hole that is left and contrary to what everyone tells you time is not a great healer, but you do learn to smile again, the memories become sweeter and less painful and one day it stops becoming about what you lost and more about what you had.

The most important thing to remember is you will never walk alone 💔

Jürgen,

I am a 19-year-old French woman who has never paid any attention to football. However, in 2018, I watched the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid. I didn't even know Liverpool, I couldn't name 5 players. But I wouldn't know why I felt a strong feeling when I watched you play, when I saw the emotion you transmitted to me. Since that match, I have watched all the games, all the videos about Liverpool. I have fallen in love with this club, it is mainly thanks to you, Jürgen. Indeed, your humour, your determination, your passion, your sincerity convinced me, made me love football, this sport that I used to criticise, I became a fan thanks to you Jürgen. Thank you for being there when I was sad. From now on, it is up to us to be there for you. After all you have put us through, all the joy you have given us. It is up to us to give you all our support and love. We love you and trust you. My condolences for the death of your mother. She is now resting for all eternity and no doubt she is watching over you...

You’ll never walk alone
Jurgen lad football and results dont matter at all right now,
Im sure you don't need me or anyone to tell you that. What matters right now is YOU
YOU mind yourself and please know that the red family is here for you.

It is an assumption (though a conservative one) that Elisabeth Klopp lived a rich and full life with a rich narrative populated by family and friends; if we can evaluate the character of a person by the character of the children they raised presumably she lived life honourably and virtuously.

Condolences to Elisabeth Klopp's circle of family and friends. The particular circumstances around the pandemic and the hospital protocols (though understandable from a public health perspective) must feel harsh for the loved ones who would have wanted to keep her company through her journey. It is cruel that this pandemic has robbed all those who have lost a loved one of their opportunity to say farewell in a manner befitting of the bonds that were forged through a lifetime, for that is one of the duties and purpose of family.

Through fate and circumstance, her son became a superlative football manager for three different clubs-and by these seemingly tenuous links of a sport with men kicking around a ball- the fans come to view her entire clan as part of their football community. So even though it may be a parasocial relationship that eager fans have with-what may seem to extraterrestrials nothing more than differently designed uniforms-it is also in some sense a family of their choosing. That is the extent to which sports or the club bear any relevance to this news.

May faith, love, and time guide her family to find peace in the wake of her passing. Hopefully, in the near future, the circumstances will allow for an appropriate commemoration of her life.

Jurgen,

I won't pretend to understand the pain your going through right now. But as someone who has lost a direct family member at a young age, I have learned the hurt and pain is also an undeniable confirmation of the gift our loved ones are to you and to this world.

I know we haven't met, but you have helped me and my family countless times by bringing us joy when it's been difficult to find, laughter when it's been absent, and hope when it's been most needed. These humanitarian qualities are not born out of thin air and were instilled from your parents. In your unending passion to make this world a better place, you have and will continue to spread Elisabeth's spirit and keep it very much alive.

My family grieves with you and yours and wish the countless beautiful memories to bring you comfort, as you have to us when we've needed it most.
