A message to Jürgen Klopp, YNWA

Dear Jürgen,

We are deeply saddened by the news of your mother's passing.

We want to send you and your family our sincerest condolences. Due to the pandemic the fans cannot be in the stadium, but we wanted to send a message to you in the way most of us communicate these days.  Therefore, we set up this space to allow anyone a platform to send you a message should they wish. You’ll Never Walk Alone. Not now, not ever.

There are no words that could describe how grateful we are to have you as our manager. You have given us so much joy and so many unforgettable moments. You mean a lot to us and we wanted to show you the love for the person who meant a lot to you. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

May your mother rest in love.

Yours truly,

Juergen, you are without doubt one of the only people to have a monumental affect on my life without even knowing who I am. What you’ve given me and all other Liverpool fans around the world cannot be bought by any amount of money. They are priceless moments that I will look back on when I’m old and grey and really there is no real way of repaying such a wonderful gift. So the very least I can do is offer you my sincerest condolences, as a Liverpool fan but also as a human. Some things are bigger than football and I think I speak for us all when I say it is commendable you’ve even been working with the boys in the way that you have been. You are our hero and all our thoughts are with you. Time heals all wounds and you are permitted as much of it as you like. Rest up gaffer and I hope the pain is soothed when you read just how many people are with you.

Jurgen, I can’t fathom what you’ve been going through. Loss of your mum, results not going our way, the media being the media, pressure with transfers left and right, and yet you always showed up with a smile. I never knew your mum, but it doesn’t take much to know that she was a great, loving, characteristic person — as she raised an absolute banger of a man. Jurgen your spirit is out of this world, and I hope nothing changes about it. I’m pretty sure you’re in good hands, as the Liverpool’s staff and players are the best for support. I hope you and your family find peace in these tough times. It doesn’t matter where the F**k we finish this season, you’ll always have our support because you ARE a true leader. I hope all these messages find you and put you at ease. You'll never ever walk alone.✊

Dear Jurgen,

This period of our lives(Covid) sucks, and it only becomes more clear as time passes how truly terrible it has been for people. Seeing that you were unable to see your mother before she passed broke my heart. You have brought so much joy to us Liverpool fans, it doesn't feel just. But the world isn't just in that way. I hope that the messages that flow in from our fan base can bring you a similar feeling as the one you gave us when you have walked us through tough moments as a team. That this is but a brief moment and we will not walk alone through it. Your strength gives us strength and I hope we can return the favor.

Deeply sorry about the news. To lose a family member isn’t easy. But a mother, and to not be able to go to the funeral, I cannot imagine how you feel.
We’re all proud of everything you have achieved, but not nearly as proud as she would have been. She will always be with you, and so will we.

Jurgen, you are one of my biggest heroes. From the day you walked into Anfield as our manager, we all knew, and me especially, that you we’re going to be something, and someone, special. As Liverpool fans, these past five or so years of having you building this special, special Liverpool side have been some of the best, if not the best, that we have all ever been experienced. You have brought each and every Liverpool fan a level of happiness once unknown and unfounded, and I thank you so much for that: You put a smile on all of our faces, win, lose or draw, because we know with you as our manager, we will always be okay.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing, and I am also sorry that; right now, we can’t be at Anfield, 56,000 strong, to help support you through your time of grievance and mourning. But we will be back soon, bigger and better than ever, singing your name. Danke Jurgen, You Will Never Walk Alone.

Dear Jurgen

You are an incredible gentleman, full of love and passion for football and others around you too. You grasped people hearts with your charm, honesty and respect for others.

To possess such attributes you must have been brought up by a loving family.
Therfore If you are anything to go by, your mother must have been an even more loving and caring person.

We all pray she rests in peace

Our thoughts are with you Jurgen during this most difficult time....im sure no amount of words may seem enough but please remember You Will Never Walk Alone!

You've brought us so much happiness and we've only had you in our lives for a few years. You've brought your mother happiness your whole life. This is the hardest part of being a human, but know you've brightened the world for a lot of us and if I were your mother I can't imagine anything that would have made me prouder than seeing who you've become.

All my condolences. Know you're loved.

Hello Jurgen, my name is Sam.

I would like to say that I am incredibly sorry to hear the tragic news regarding your mother, Elizabeth. I am sending my love from Scotland to you, your family and all those affected by her passing. We as football fans forget that those on the pitch and giving instructions from the sidelines are human too. We take them for granted. We have no idea what is going on in another person's life and cannot judge someone if they act differently due to their own situation in their private life.

You have spoken this last month with incredible strength and I applaud you for this, not only while the team was going through a difficult spell, but also during a horrific time for you and your loved ones.

I think I speak for all Liverpool fans and football fans around the world when I say we are more than grateful for what you have given is over these past years and with that nobody can begrudge you if you were to take a break from football for a period of time for you to properly process the news and grieve properly. We all support you and love you more than you know. As you said at the beginning of the pandemic;

"Football is the most important of the LEAST important things."

We will all be waiting for you and hopefully us as fans can be back in stadiums soon in order to pay tribute and honour the life of your mother, Elizabeth.

Stay safe Jurgen, I love you, all Liverpool fans love you, all football fans love you.

And never forget,

You'll Never ever Walk Alone

Yours sincerely,

Sam McGarry
