I am a relatively young Liverpool fan from Greece. My love for this club started at age 9, after the famous rocket by Steven Gerrard against Olympiakos. The words sung in our anthem are the quintessence of what Liverpool FC represent; togetherness, solidarity, hope, belief. It was the lyrics of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' that helped me get back on my feet when I felt down, when I feel down.
The happiness you have brought to the fans of Liverpool FC like myself is immeasurable. You have achieved that not just by bringing glory back to the club, but also with maintaining its moral values. Although this may not mean much, you have earned my respect as a person.
You have my condolences for the passing of your dear mother, God bless her soul.
After being crowned Champions of England in July, the official LFC social media accounts posted a video that had me crying tears of joy for hours. It was you, narrating this crazy journey briefly. I want to quote that verbatim in saying that "In your darkest moments, you are not alone."

I have heard you speak of your sadness at your father not being around to see your greatest achievements in life over the last 2 decades and it always resonated with me, having lost my father at 17. It's apparent that you had a strong connection to your parents.
Ergo I can only imagine the knock it has been to lose your mother, and doubly so the fact that circumstances deprived you of the opportunity to be there to say goodbye or attend the funeral. My deepest and sincerest condolences. LFC is a family and today you are the patriarch - we all share in your grief today and wish you and those close to you the best.
