A message to Jürgen Klopp, YNWA

Dear Jürgen,

We are deeply saddened by the news of your mother's passing.

We want to send you and your family our sincerest condolences. Due to the pandemic the fans cannot be in the stadium, but we wanted to send a message to you in the way most of us communicate these days.  Therefore, we set up this space to allow anyone a platform to send you a message should they wish. You’ll Never Walk Alone. Not now, not ever.

There are no words that could describe how grateful we are to have you as our manager. You have given us so much joy and so many unforgettable moments. You mean a lot to us and we wanted to show you the love for the person who meant a lot to you. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

May your mother rest in love.

Yours truly,

Maxi, Moby, Mehul, Peter and every Liverpool fan around the world

Feel really sad at a time like this you have lost your mother, hopefully you can mourn properly really soon, i lost my mother 10 years ago so i have a slight idea of what you going through, please accept my condolences i hope you heal soon and wish you and your family peace at a difficult time..

You came to us when we needed a miracle, you helped us back on our feet, you gave us a reason to believe, handing out hugz like father christmas delivering toys, just when we think we know our manager you quietly surprise us again, just remember this Mr Klopp no matter what comes along in this journey you have brought us, i will always have your back like you have had ours #YNWA

Jurgen,

I am so incredibly sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. From the way you have spoken of her, it sounds like she was truly an incredible mother. The addition of the pandemic makes this much harder than a passing already is. I am sure that she was so proud of all that you have accomplished and how many lives—including mine—you have made positive impacts on. Because of you, my interests in football grew to a passion. Because of you, I began to coach. I have learned so much from you, and your warmth, humility, passion, and compassion for other humans was absolutely learned from incredible parenting.

I saw this Emily Dickinson poem posted elsewhere, and I thought it would be comforting for you and your family. Also, as a fellow Christian, I think it serves as a good reminder that God will take care of all of our loved ones:

“Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality.”

Jurgen, I hope you are well, and I hope that you know that the Liverpool family will support you through this all.

YNWA, my friend. We love you.

Dear Herr Klopp,
I have no words to properly express my condolences in this challenging time but have been thinking of you in light of hearing the news of your mother’s passing all day. I am so sorry for the sadness that you must be experiencing and know that both fans of Liverpool Football Club as well as fans of yours all over the world wish there was a way to assuage the grief you must be enduring right now. You are an inspiration to so many on account of not just the excellence in leadership on a football pitch but also the inspirational way you implore millions to conduct themselves in a way that is considerate, ethical, and human in all the best ways.
Deepest love and sympathies to you and yours from Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sincerely,

I am terribly sorry to hear about your sad news. My mother is also everything to me and so I can only imagine how difficult this time has been for you. All of our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know you would be the last person to accept any praise, but you have truly been an inspiration to so many people around the world, not for being a wonderful coach, but for being a wonderful person. Warmth, humility and kindness are clearly values that you have been surrounded by in your life; values that I’ve no doubt your mother radiated to those around her - I can only thank her for being a very special soul. May God’s love give you strength through this time and I hope that you can find some comfort that Elisabeth is now in a better place in Heaven. YNWA.

I am very sorry for your loss, it must be a horrible time to you right now. To deal with this as well as the pressure of the job and the media trying to rip you apart. I lost my father in a difficult period for me where other events such as victim of a crime, finding out about a condition, but I overcome that period and thanks to Liverpool, there was light at the end of the tunnel. I know there are no fans but all true fans love you and you taught us all to be mentality monsters and have produced machine like sides. So I know you will find a way to pick yourself up, but remember you aren't alone at the end of the storm, there is a golden sky, so walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you'll never walk alone, you'll never walk alone. Life is more important than football, but you are a mentality monster. If you doubt you can pick yourself up, believe you can pick yourself up- you changed us from doubters to believers, so believe that life will only be on the up, because life can only get better.

Dear Jürgen Klopp, our Normal One.

I send my greatest condolence to you and your family about the recent passing of your mother. For me, it is unimaginable what you'll be, and have been, going through the recent weeks with this sad news. I have heard you were very very close to your mother, and also as a son who's also very close to his mother I just can't even possibly think, or say I can understand, the emotions you'd had to endure during these troubling times. Not to mention the covid pandemic not letting you be able to be with your family and grief with them as all people should be allowed to have in such moments.

I'm hugely shocked, grateful, and also sorry that you not even had the proper time to deal with this and stood on every game, every pitch, and solider on your job during these hard time. Not being able to say goodbye to your loved ones, and not being able to be with them at their side... It's all a bit too much for anyone to handle. I really really sincerely hope you are okay, and once again thank you, so so much, for all you've had done for the team during these unfair times.

We're all with you where ever in the world, and want to share your grief and sadness in hope of making that burden a little less.

Danke Jürgen, You'll Never ever Walk Alone.

Juergen, words can’t begin to describe how bad I feel for you at this time. I was devastated this morning not only to hear of the loss of your mother but to hear that you and your family would be unable to attend her funeral. I had never heard of her before today but she must’ve been an amazing woman to have raised a man such as yourself. You had an accomplished playing and managing career but I’m sure the thing she is most proud of is the way you inspired players, fans, and cities everywhere you went. On the pitch you’ve brought me and so many others so much joy, but most importantly you’ve made me believe in others and myself. You’ve indirectly taught me lessons i carry with me everyday of my life. And you couldn’t have been able to do that without growing up in a household with a strong woman such as your mother.
And remember, You’ll Never Walk Alone

Dear Jurgen,

I am sad to hear the news of your mother and the situation that you are experiencing with. Maybe you can be by your side with your mother if you are not the manager of Liverpool. However, the reality cannot be changed. We thank you for being our manager, stay with us when Liverpool is on the low and bring us back to the top. And now, it’s time for us to be with you when you are on your bottom of your life. Thanks to the damn Covid-19 that separates your family at such critical moment, but your whole family is spiritually stick together at any where at any moment just like overseas Liverpool fans, or even local fans are supporting their club at Anfield. Please stay strong and cheer up yourself and also the players for us too. Please do remind them to imagine how Anfield will react if they are performing well. I think if they can have such mind in their head, we can probably get mark(s) from Manchester City. Stay strong Jurgen, you’ll never walk alone. Millions or even billions fans are right behind you. Take good care. Always think of the bright side of life. Hope to see you again at Anfield.

With the greatest love,

Jürgen,

I am incredibly sorry for your loss. The loss of a parent is one of the greatest tragedies anyone will experience in their life, and the fact you are now without both parents is a fact which breaks my heart.

I feel the utmost of sympathy and pain for you because you are an individual which has contributed such joy and happiness to me, my friends, and my family. The work you have done, not just at Liverpool, but in football, has reached millions like me. But in this moment, we are reminded that there are things more important than football. Suffice to say, there is nothing more important than family in life, and in death. And the impact of you on all of our lives is nothing compared to the impact your parents must have had on you. I cannot claim to know this impact, but the way you have spoken about your parents in the past and the way you conduct yourself in your life leads me to believe that they did an excellent job raising you, and would be immensely proud of the man you have become, and the values you stand for. Honesty, integrity, self-belief, passion, and determination. These are all things that you have exemplified throughout your football career. Watching you has taught me a lot about life, not just football, and I have sought to implement your approach to challenges in my own life. So for this I thank you, sincerely and from the bottom of my heart.

I will close with a quote from Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmi, to try to help you in this difficult time:
"Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. For those who love with their heart and soul, there is no separation."

Know in this moment, Jürgen, that you will never walk alone. You are in our thoughts, our prayers, and while we may not be able to help you directly, our spirits are with you and we hope that you can find some solace in this moment. And when you are ready to move on, we shall move on with you.

You'll never walk alone. Rest in peace to your dear mother, Elisabeth. While we did not know her in the manner we know you, our love and gratitude extends to her, and we hope that she finds eternal peace.

Best regards,
Zubair Ahmed

To Jurgen,

When you came into our lives at Liverpool FC you turned us all into believers and right now we want you to feel something from us and that is Love. We love you for everything that you've done and I'm truly sorry to hear the passing of your mother. Nobody deserves that and I know you'll see her again in Heaven but until then she will never stop being proud of you, watching alongside your father and everyone that has sadly come to pass but you've touched along the way.

The truth is Jurgen, I'm in a moment in my life where I dont really like living in it. I think of everything I hate about myself and how my cycle focuses around depression and anxiety. I have these thoughts about ending it all but also this thought about losing my Mother and Father. Life scares me Jurgen, death scares me and I'm terrified of being alone. Liverpool has connected me in ways to my best friends in ways that cannot be done in any other way and liverpool is our life, it helps me escape those thoughts and I'm with you 100%. No matter what comes from this season football is just football but behind it all we're human beings that need to show our emotions and within that there is love. Football

So no matter what life chucks at you please remember that it's okay to not be okay and that someone out there is so proud of who you are, what you've done and who you'll be. This goes for anyone that's reading this. Lean on each other in our moments of sadness, let our love paint the greys that fall upon our lives.

I hope in this moment Jurgen you can feel peace within your family, your circle, within the squad, within life and from us fans and know that we love you. From all walks of life, from all religions, I know every LFC supporter is by your side and mourns for your loss or rather what the world has lost.

You'll never walk alone, Jurgen. I hope that life brings you what you need and maybe it might even do the same for me too.

Safe travels ~

Matthew.

Jurgen, I’ve been a Liverpool fan for a short time, and you’ve been the coach for all of it. You’re one of my favorite parts of the experience, from the way you speak, act, enthuse and engage. From the first pumps to the inspiration, I will literally never forget you. I feel for you, the loss of a parent is intense and saddening at the best of times let alone the crazy world we live in right now. I didn’t know your mum, but considering that she raised a man who can inspire me despite never having met me, I bet she is pretty awesome. I hope that you know you are beloved by this community and that we empathize with your loss and that we are all here in support, to show you that you need never walk alone.

Jürgen,

What your mother must have been to you, are you to me and surely the entire fan base at Liverpool F.C.: a role model, a calming presence, immortal. Personally, I was devastated to hear of your mother’s mortality as passed away last month. Even my deepest condolences could not console the obvious scar this puts on your life. However, I hope that mine, along with all those who have extended their condolence and well-wishes on this site, show that you are loved and appreciated around the world. At a moment when you must feel your most helpless, and perhaps alone, I hope these messages bring you the joy and hope you have brought to each and every one of our lives.

You have said yourself something along the lines of, “In life there are so many grater things than Football.” Very true, however sometimes football is the best medicine for the worst parts of life as well. While I’m positive it has no correlation, it makes things even harder to know that this difficult moment in your life aligns itself with one of the more difficult moments this club has faced under your tenure. However, as in life, football has its sublime and more difficult moments, and it is the opposing emotions which makes each other feel it’s greatest. It is the moments of Anfield nights, and Madrid trophies that make the Man City, the Burnley, the Southampton feel so painful; it is these moments in your life that will make the better moments feel blissful.

I hope that you are taking the time to take care of yourself, along with those around you, and I hope these messages fill you with hapiness, hope, and adoration that your mother once gave you. At the end of every storm, there is a golden sky.

You’ll Never Walk Alone Jürgen.

With immense adoration and condolence,
Cody Sargenti
